State Rep. Bob Bezotte, of Howell, today announced his legislative office has officially opened, and he’s ready to serve the residents of Livingston County.

“I’m honored to have been elected as your state representative and can assure you this is a role I do not take lightly,” Bezotte said. “A top priority of mine is to always have an office available for you, the people I serve. Please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you have about state government. My staff and I are here for you.” 

Some of the major issues Bezotte is preparing to fight for include helping individuals and their loved ones battling mental health struggles, working on policies important to veterans, looking at education issues that will best help children excel in their studies, and taking steps to reopen Michigan as safely and efficiently as possible as we continue to battle economic hardships from COVD-19 shutdowns.

Bezotte, a former Livingston County Sheriff and Commissioner and Vietnam War veteran, said he also has a background and passion for public safety and will fight for legislation to help protect Michigan families and law enforcement. 

 In addition, Bezotte announced he has finalized his staff as he further prepares legislative business. Cindy Denby will serve as the representative’s Legislative Director, and Cara Keilen as his Legislative Aide.

Denby’s roots in the 47^th District run deep. She previously served as the district’s  state Representative herself, and most recently worked as former state Rep. Hank Vaupel’s Legislative Aide. Keilen also has experience fighting for Michigan families, having most recently served as former state Rep. Kathy Crawford’s Legislative Aide.

“Cindy and Cara are experienced professionals with strong work ethics,” Bezotte said. “I’m looking forward to having them on my staff and know they will do great work for our friends, families, and neighbors in Livingston County.”
