RELEASE|January 17, 2023
Contact: Tom Kuhn

Rep. Thomas Kuhn will serve on the crucial House Appropriations Committee and help set the state’s budgetary policy during the 2023-24 legislative term.

“I am honored to help shape how the state can most effectively allocate the people’s hard-earned taxpayer dollars,” said Kuhn, R-Troy. “I will closely review how we can reform our spending practices to help reduce inflation and provide a strong fiscally conservative voice for my constituents.”

The House Appropriations Committee, considered one of the most influential committees in the House, designates how the state’s budget is divided among the various state departments and agencies. Kuhn also will serve as Republican vice chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education and Community Colleges. In addition, he was appointed to the health and human services and general government appropriations subcommittees.

Kuhn represents the 57th House District, which includes portions of Sterling Heights, Troy and Madison Heights. People can contact Kuhn’s office by calling (517) 373-1706 or emailing [email protected].
