State Rep. Alicia St. Germaine, R-Harrison Township, today led the House in adopting House Resolution 78 in support of President Trump’s announcement establishing a new fighter mission at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

The mission brings the advanced F-15EX Eagle II aircraft to Selfridge, replacing the outgoing A-10 Thunderbolt fleet and securing the future of the historic base.

“Selfridge has been a vital asset not only to Macomb County, but to the entire state of Michigan,” said St. Germaine. “It provides thousands of good-paying jobs, bolsters our regional economy, and plays a crucial role in our national defense. The new fighter mission reflects the unwavering support from the local community and represents a major investment in Michigan’s military.

“I’m honored to present this House resolution celebrating a new chapter for Selfridge,” said St. Germaine. “This decision strengthens our armed forces, supports our military families, and ensures Michigan remains at the forefront of America’s airpower.
