PHOTO INFORMATION: State Rep. Jamie Thompson, of Brownstown, was recently sworn in to the Michigan House of Representatives by Assistant Clerk of the House Rich Brown.

Thompson serves the 28^th House District, representing residents in Brownstown Township, Flat Rock, Rockwood, Woodhaven and parts of Taylor in Wayne County, as well as Berlin Township and Frenchtown Township in Monroe County.

The Michigan House of Representatives held its first session day of the 2025-26 legislative term on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
